We welcome pupils with special educational needs at any time, but on set dates we make particular galleries and activities available specifically for SEN groups.

SEN days in Launchpad

Capture your shadow, launch a rocket, spin like a skater and control a magnetic cloud in this popular hands-on gallery. Inspiring you to explore and question the world around you, Launchpad is for curious students.

On SEN days Launchpad is reserved for SEN groups, providing more space and a calmer opportunity for students to engage with the hands-on exhibits and work more closely with our friendly Explainers.

In addition to visiting the gallery, your can request the Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles Science Show, a 20 minute performance about bubbles that includes plenty of audience interaction.
